I lost interest in all M5s after the E39 (the E60 was interesting, but the mighty S65 was not suited for use as a DD). M5s continue to be fantastic autobahn cruisers, but they have become utensils rather than enthusiast's cars - point and click. And indistinguishable from similar offerings from Mercedes.

Rant over. So, if you are asking me if you should trade your much faster, four-wheel drive, automatic supersedan for a manual, RWD coupe? Why yes, I do think you should.
