There are no blind spot systems but the front collision avoidance is radar-based. If you mount
the way I did you won't experience any self-alarms. To your concern, I can specifically offer that while mucking around with my install I observed the iDrive display will trigger the laser alarm in the V1 when the V1 is aimed
directly at the screen. Given my enclosure, I very rarely get laser alarms though some SUVs' collision avoidance systems will trigger it.
