Maybe due to the fact that M135i MPE is an axleback and M2 MPE cat back
Maybe configured similarly to the B58 F3x MPPK and sound exhaust - two valves that give either partial or total muffler bypass....
BMW 340i MPPK sounds good in the YT clips below....
