If BMW was serious about the M2 CS why did they not put in a lithium ion battery in from the M4/M3? This sheds 30 lbs alone and is readily available!

So BMW wants to charge $8,000-10,000 for a CCB option that sheds about 30 lbs when they can simply put a Lithium Ion battery in the M2 CS and shed the same weight with a simple low cost battery change??

Yes, it is stupid to remove features like Comfort Access and not even swap the battery to the M3/M4 battery. The battery eats into profit margin, though. Disabling Comfort Access in software or firmware was already done.
