LL is BMW long life certification. I’m currently in Europe and my car uses the BMW 0W-40 LL01. The recommended change interval is over 20k miles or 2 years.

You could run non LL oil and change it more often.

Btw, I’m in Germany and drive my car year round. So cold starts in winter and Nurburgring, Spa Francorchamps and Hockenheimring track days in the summer. I use the same oil year round. South Germany doesn’t get much below freezing so I see no point. I will probably change it before the scheduled interval though. I know oils are good these days but 2 years and 22k miles with track days seems like a lot.
