I did nothing, and it has worked flawless since I installed it. I have done 10000km on it.
Actually I did not know you had to code the car, so I will check with my BMW mechanic. He knows I changed to this battery and did not tell me anything about coding. He told me something about registering when changing the battery, but not that I had to do anything.
