I removed my assist springs with little fuss. Just had to drop down the panel/knee bolster and popped out the whole spring assembly. Yes, there is a slight increase in the lateral movement, but I think the increased feel/weight is worth it. Honestly it didn't give me as much weight as I wanted. I also did the CDV delete and love it. I may upgrade to the UCP someday, but I'm okay with the current set up for now.
