I had mine lock up so bad on the way home from the dealer, I had no sound whatsoever. I think it was a text coming in right when I was doing something. Had to power off the car - not easy to do when driving on the highway (ok, I got off the highway and did it).
I tried it again - on my M3 recently with iOS 13 and wow, I think it was worse. Had the way BMW has implemented. Love it in my rental cars and even in my wife's Mini!
