Honda never released info on the tires for their lap time but I suspect r compounds at least if not full slicks plus the roll cage. The civic type r is slower then the M2 both from a standing stop and a roll. The M2 did a 1:26.2 and the CTR did a 1:28.2 on the grand tour test track.
