If I had to stick to a budget of $35k for a DD, the CTR would have been an easy and obvious choice (it’s beginning to be available at msrp). Def not a fan of the overzealous styling but there are ways to tone it down like going with white, cover the fake vents with body color panels, wrap the fake CF parts with body color vinyl, and replace the rear wing and wheels, etc.
I sat in one in a car show. The front bucket seats are sublime while the rest of interior quality is on par with average econo compacts. Rear seat fabric is garbage material best reserved for hated in-laws. Instrument cluster graphic is not particularly aesthetically pleasing but I do love how the most important info are prominently displayed within a small area.
