In other words is it all BMW DME’s after 6/2020
I am just thinking out loud as if I want to get a G87 but from now on tuning is no longer an option I might just stay with my CarBahn Stage 1 F87.
I know there are piggyback options but I would rather not go that route.

*IF* it has the Bosch MG1 DME (also known as DME8) after 06/2020, there are unlock options available. This would be the S58/B58. In this case, the DME would have to be sent to Europe for a company to unlock.
If it has the Bosch MEVD17 DME after 06/2020, (i.e. pretty much only S55) there is no unlock.
They are completely different hardware and do not mix.
