I added these and I found a noticeable difference. That said, it wasn't a major noise reduction. For the price of the foam strips, it was certainly worth it.
I found a couple of Youtube videos and DIY instructions on these forums that helped me put them in. Taking out the active sound made more of a difference. I'm probably going to look into adding some of the other sound reduction parts from the regular 2-series as the main road I drive to work on every day is very loud compared to other pavement surfaces.
