The current one is but the next one will probably be lighter than it is now since it will be on the same underpinnings as the Supra/Z4. The Supra is also heavier than the Cayman and they are still competitors. |
We shall see, the G8X M3/4 will likely give us a clue as to whether weight will be higher or lower. BMW also claimed the G20 was lighter than the F30, but it was mainly the chassis, but as a whole the G20 was heavier.
