Yea, I hear you re: tire preservation which isn't a bad thing to me. I usually do two run groups per track day so it does become of value to be able to rotate mid-day sometimes.

Re: brakes - I want to pull the calipers off the car right away. One track day at Laguna and I'll have the silver of the caliper turning brown which will look bad and considerably reduce the ability for me to sell the car with them on.

Like I said, my thought was to pull the calipers, install AP Racing all around, and go to an 18" square setup for the track.
I've done 3 track days with no discoloration. Do you have photos of your calipers? Curious to see how that looks.
