Yep, no doubt. I take these tests with a huge grain of salt for all the reasons you mentioned. On track an A052 is probably good for a hero lap (lap two) while the 71RS is likely a more realistic tire to use for 20 laps. Looking forward to your testing!

I used to love the BFG R1 on track and it was very close to a Hoosier A6 in speed (faster than the R6) on a large aggregate autox course in 95F summertime heat too (plus it wore dramatically longer than an A6 which we could cord within 40 runs!). I wish BFG had followed up development of the R1 and R1S. Those tires were actually fairly street-able too as long as it didn't rain (essentially a slick) since they were tough enough to handle some street features fine (unlike an A6) and wore well...somewhat similar to an NT-01 but faster. Horrific tread face noise and cavity noise, so they'd whine like a truck tire at speed on the highway, but on track you never notice the noise.
