Allow me to clarify some things about the intercoolers.
1) The mounting bracket is NOT incomplete - is was designed this way to be an open bracket to allow for easier mounting & placement positioning, etc.
2) We had made 8 pre-production units that were sent to our best dealers and race teams for fitment and testing purposes. No one explained to us that they had to use different bolts or washers to install these coolers - This is most likely based on the fact that all of these dealers have their own shops, and a million nuts, bolts, screws, washers around their shops... to them it's not a big deal at all, and this information was never conveyed back to us.. All I was told was that "it fits perfect, and it's super easy to install" (which it does)
- I'm not making excuses on why we didn't have something included in the box, but this is why we didn't think there was this small issue with our packaging.
3) For all the people who are getting one of the 1st 50 intercoolers, and are going to be DIY'ing this.. I'm sorry for the inconvenience of having to go out to the hardware store to pick up 2-4 washers to install this properly. I was originally thinking of asking everyone who needed these washers to email us their addresses, and we would send them out - but I think the best and quickest solution would be to reimburse users for the cost of the washers.. Go ahead and email me a copy of the receipt, and I'll send you the money via PayPal for the cost of the washers if it's a big deal - you can email to

4) For all future production, we'll make sure that there is a proper mounting solution included in the box.. I'm leaning toward a spring nut that is adjustable already installed on the brackets, but I might just put some proper washers in the box..
Once again, I'm sorry for the small issue, but I'm glad the OP is experiencing the industry best performance from our intercooler - I think everyone is going to be very happy once it's installed.

I don't think the impact on radiator cooling is consequential enough to warrant a problem, however this vehicle does experience limp mode issues when driven aggressively on the track (this is already happening without any power modifications like tunes or intercoolers, etc) - CSF has come up with a solution for this already - we have an upgraded oil cooler, and radiator available for the m2 as well.
