It's hard to say what they did, because the Supra and Z4 now have a completely different transmission from F8x and G8x. It also can handle more torque. I wonder if it will ever surface in the G8x. I mean, it's a different part number and derived from the 6 speed that was in the base Z4, not from the GS6-45BZ. I'm sure it shares a lot of parts but it is different.
