I am really hoping to get to test drive an M2C soon - I have an F80 ZCP, and there's no hint of lag or lackadaisical nature at any RPMs. The car seems to pull very hard, even from low RPMs, and gets even crazier once you're beyond 2500-3000 RPM.
Aka, this is probably more of a tune thing than anything else, which you point out above...
