To some extent I'm with you here. There needs to be a no crackle option button.

Two anecdotes.

1. I was in the city the other day walking to an appointment about 8:45AM. I had numerous crackling Mercedes driving by. It was almost cringeworthy. It sort of had a "my god my mid life crisis has taken on a new dimension" note to it.

2. Was talking about the crackle sound to my 13 year old son.
Him "To me it seems as if there is something wrong with the car".
Me "But what about your beloved AMG GTR on the PS4?"
Him "Actually, I don't really like that. It doesn't sound good."

So. The crackle is the modern day version of the balding man's hairpiece that lifts in the wind in his convertible.

I need a button to disable this. I have hair. And dignity.
