Touch wood but it's pretty manageable. I lost my carbon lip once on the F80 and went to plastic after then (lost it twice again after then over 6 years). The 'mistake' I'd made was lowering the car with springs.
I've left the CS at stock height and it has plenty of clearance.
Personally, I love the look and am willing to take extra care when driving near obstacles and parking. If you drive near a lot of potholes though it would be nerve wracking.
