They are both great cars. I hated the new grille at first but compared to the other atrocities BMW released since then they are actually tolerable. I don't mind the more aggressive lower end of the bumper. What I really couldn't live with is the sound (fixable with equal length mid pipes), the cow udder (again fixable with aftermarket), and the wheels (also fixable).
The only thing I would really like from the M2C are the seats. Other than that I actually prefer the pre-LCI lights and interior. When I replaced my tail lights (to have amber turn signals) I intentionally went with pre-LCI again because I like the shape better.
