Question 981 Cayman GTS pricing - Need some advice please

Am thinking seriously now of getting a Cayman GTS but am a little hesitant to pull the trigger based on the current pricing trend. They seem to be at a premium right now. All the 2016 Cayman GTS I am looking at are priced between 62-75k whereas the newer 2018 GTS are priced at 70-75k. I understand that’s likely because the 4 cylinder hasn’t been received well by the Porsche crowd but paying almost the same price for a 4 year old older model GTS seems like a high premium to pay. The situation was somewhat similar when BMW came out with the F8X turbo but pricing wise the E9X are priced far far below the F8X.

To summarize my question here, is paying 65-70k too much for a 2016 GTS? Am concerned I may be paying a high premium and pricing on the GTS might normalize next couple of years.

Thanks.
