Oh that's a good idea to use the rubber mats in winter and the M Performance mats in summer. I understand P4rD0nM3's point about liquid just rolling off the edges of the MP mats. You don't want that in the winter when your shoes might have snow and salt on them. I had the WeatherTech-type liners in my Mini and didn't love the hard plastic feel. The BMW rubber mats are cheap enough at $50 and have a channel around the edge to catch liquid, so I may get a set and use them during the winter like you're doing.
