My yearly subscription expired (without notice!) about 4 days ago... thought something had gone wrong with my phone/car then remembered they implemented this dumb subscription program.
Very irritating. If they had prompted me in the app or on start-up to "extend" it, I would have done it without hesitation. Now I'm considering other CarPlay options. Smart move BMW
