Both my front wheels have groves from rocks stuck on the calipers. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a design mistake. Go over to the M3/M4 forum and read all about it. BMW will not go back and redesign the calipers because it would cost too much money so they make the owners live with it. They should have fixed the spun crank hub issue years ago but that would also cost too much money. The cost analysis gurus have spoken.
