For whatever reason, BMW claim they're all single use - even the ones that are only 28Nm and used to bolt the carbon brace in place. So maybe there is something about the sheer forces.

Some of the other bolts use quite a high initial torque followed by a further 45 or 90 degrees (on the M46 the brace between the front subframe and the body shell specifies two further tightening steps after the initial torque, applied in a specific sequence, which is reminiscent of a cylinder head).

I would be happy to retighten any of those that specify an extra tightening step to the initial torque, but no further.

Separately, if you have a look at the two links to realoem above, you'll realise you haven't been sent the full set, so you may as well just order new. Plus, I don't recognise some of those fixings as having anything to do with the brace or strut tops.
