No doubt Pennzoil has arrived at this recommendation but BMW has provided a conflicting one. If they are warranting the M engine through 50,000 miles through the factory, or beyond 50,000 in my individual case, I plan to stick with the motor oil viscosity the engine was designed around. Seems to make sense, from my perspective
