I just hit 6000 miles and I still have this issue, however not yet presented to the dealer since I don't want anyone to beat on my car. I'm reaching my limit however--so might be going next month.
I'm also curious if anyone like Z3MQP has had any resolution with BMW directly. It really is unacceptable--I just hope something breaks so they can replace my diff/driveshaft or whatever is causing the issue.
