I'm typically in the low to mid 50's at rest.

But what I think is more important is how fast your heart rate drops back to normal after exertion.

I get my heart rate up pretty high during cardio, then see how fast it drops back down during my cool-down period. Right now, I see differences of 60+ beats a minute in just about 3 minutes of cool down time.
