And not to bash tree huggers, again, but I wonder how many people that think that they are saving the world by buying an electric car or a hybrid give any thought to the issue of recycling or disposing of those incredibly toxic batteries?

Anyone who doesn't think that lithium batteries are not toxic have never punctured or otherwise injured their phone's battery. Gads, talk about poison gas!

And those Tesla batteries, I kid you not, are really nothing more than a whole bunch of AA batteries ganged together. Imagine taking one of those cells apart to find 2500 little batteries inside, each of which has to be carefully transported and disassembled and recycled.
