While the current M2 has been absolutely great since 2016 and will continue to be viewed as a great car, I’m sure any current owner or soon-to-be owner in a position to buy a M2 right now would opt for any newer version regardless if the changes are better or worse. It’s just a matter of spending your money to purchase something newer and more relevant and leaving the past great models behind.

For the current M2 owners or N55>S55 fans, nobody is trying to fight you. The N55 M2 is great and sounds fantastic compared to the S55 and there’s no arguement needed. Standing power figures and potential power figures are already proven, just read about it on other platforms the N55 and S55 has been in and you’ll have a good sense.

As with the package of changes with the S55 M2, it’s a great opportunity for new owners and members to enter the club and enjoy their new vehicle.

In the end, I’m sure the in-person bickering isn’t between M2 vs M2 Competition owners. But rather N55 M2 owners justifying themselves to family, friends and other car fanatics. Alternatively, in their conversations, they can simply acknowledge that the M2 Competition happened and acquire any parts that they like and fits.
