I had an F80 for 3 years - not a comp model though.
In my view, the M2C is far far better at instilling confidence pushing on on our countryside UK roads.
Always felt the F80 wanted to throw you into a hedge backwards.
I actually began to dislike the M3 very much.
I also don’t feel there’s any difference in speed between the two either.
