Personally, I think its way too costly for the difference in vehicle. Buying new, choosing M2 over 235/240 seems a no brainer but you will take a big hit on the 235. Figure your 235 to be worth 30-35 as a trade to a dealer and likely spending 60k on the M2.
For 60K, if you need a new ( different) weekend warrior there are used Porsches ( Boxster, Cayman, 911) out there, too. Why not try some alternative vehicles before considering a very expensive incremental move.
