I know theres no news on the new 2 series however just based on your own previous experience with BMW, have you noticed a pretty big increase between M models? I know the Competition is a step up from the M2 and with this news i'm not sure if i should wait for the new M2 C which i assume would come out in...2025? I dont know if i want to wait till i'm 40 to jump into an M2 competition and i dont know enough about BMW to know if the wait would be worth it.
Why not? I'm in my 40s and a long time BMW owner/driver and this is my first M. Timing is perfect, I have multiple cars and the M2 is the perfect drivers car for me. It is everything I want without spending $100k. I wouldn't have this as my only car (maybe an M5), but the M2 can serve as my daily driver or weekend car.

I guess you wait if you know what you are waiting for. In this case, sounds like you want the M2 so get the 2021 because there is no indication of the next one. Or the new M4 if you are worried about the M2 being obsolete.
