Well, I can tell you that having an M2C can make you feel better about being in your 40's. The thing makes me feel like a kid again here and there and I'm closer to the end of my 40's than the beginning of them, and I'm certainly not the oldest person on this board with an M2C. By far.
M Cars do tend to change somewhat significantly between generations. They get more powerful, and faster, and not always entirely better. Many folk around here love the M2C because it's closer to the E46 M3 experience than the current M3 (I never drove and E46 M3, so I don't count on this one). M Cars are about the experience more than they are the drag times. Mostly.
Near the end of the run, you might be able to do alright dropping your current lease for an M2C, or you will certainly be able to ride out your lease and then look at used M2C's.
