WoW, I think you're right, I was under the assumption that since the G87 M2 is supposedly scheduled to be released for the 2023 MY, there would be a 2022 M2C.

BMW tends to not have an M version of cars when they're first released. Typically they release first a base model/M performance version, then a proper M, then a comp, then a CS version. Pretty sure they just want to have something hotter coming out every year until the next refresh
