I am with you on this and my experience tuning my N54 135i reflects this also.


I did somes testing at the strip with 94 vs 91 running MHD OTS 91 map and the results were mostly the same.. What I have not tested much is running the 93 Map with 94.

Another test I did was run Boostane with 100octane mix and the 95 Map ran a lot better than the 91 map. My guess at explaining this is the 91 map seems to run the most boost possible that creates much heat with the stock turbo and ends up having the intercooler struggle. The 95oct map seems to run less boost and more timing wich helps a little bit iat.
