Yeah. It all started with forum fellow
ehoms posting a couple of VINs of M2 pre-production cars shipped to the US. While searching on a website providing company profiles and public import/export info from Bill of Ladings, he bumped by coincidence into at least 10 pre-production M2 cars arrived in the US and
subsequently posted that info. Serendipity !
I noticed a sequence pattern in the VINs reported on the Bill of Ladings docs, so had a closer
trial-and-error look in a VIN decoder:
