I will definitely be ordering a new exhaust. IMO, the tone is very uninspiring below 5.5k RPM. Also, the top end ought to be 10-20% louder. And I never thought I'd say it, but I miss all the 'immature' pops and bangs my F80 with MPE used to make.
That being said, it's a matter of personal taste. I prefer that my exhaust is silent under light load (no drone), makes itself known at moderate throttle input/ engine speed, and goes ballistic at WOT.
The stock CS exhaust is somewhat loud with good tone when you're really on it in M mode, but very silent and dull when using anything but full throttle at high RPM. The burbles are there sometimes, but they are barely audible. For some, this may actually be perfect. |
Does the CS sound the same as an M2C? ie the same exhaust?
