I can't argue that the OEM parts are expensive, but an aftermarket unit that goes only between the 2 shock towers may not get you the same benefits. It might, but I'd be surprised because of the additional bracing to the body (fenders and front panel) that the OEM one provides.
What you could do to keep the costs down is go only with the Aluminium section. This can be found for < $200 shipped on eBay. You probably need some other parts (fixing and trip) that will net out to a little over $500, plus installation if you're not doing it yourself. I ran this for about a month while I waiting for my CFRP part to arrive and whilst the CFRP improves things further, the Aluminium brace is what makes the biggest difference. |
