Apparently.
Perhaps, like some have suggested, I may just have a 'bad' battery. Guess it'll be a while before I know for sure since I don't want to chance running it dead again so it's now on a tender when not in use. Hopefully no more drama...
Next time I'm in for service I'll have them check it though.
