I'm fairly confident that this is correct, but feel free to comment if I've missed anything or made any mistakes. I can always go back and edit the post if need be.

The first point of confusion is that the M2 has 5 M8 bolt strut towers, and early M3 and M4 models had 3 M10 bolt towers. This results in different reinforcing rings, strut top hats and strut braces.

The next point of confusion is right and left hand drive. Many of the forum posts were from UK based owners and their part numbers are sometimes different. I'm actually British myself (shout out to my homies!), but am based in the US, so all of the parts listed here are for an OG US M2; LCI in my case, but I don't think that makes a difference.

One thing to note if you choose not to do the reinforcement, or if you choose to do reinforcement separately and before you do the Aluminum strut brace, is that the top hat securing bolts and shock top nut are single use, and you'll need to replace these each time you change the suspension top hat.
