Didn’t BMW transition 2018 M3/M4s from a CF Driveshaft to a Steel Driveshaft around Oct/Nov 2017, so does the C&D-reviewed M4 you cite have a CF or Steel Driveshaft...and also, what comes standard on the M2 Comp? The CF Driveshaft provided huge weight savings.
Shocking to see BMW stop using them on the M3/M4 after previously offering it on all pre-Early MY2018 cars. Even the $40k base Alfa Romeo Giulia has a CF Driveshaft, so not exactly sure why BMW decided to start skimping now on the much, much more expensive M3/M4s.
