The M2 CS is going adaptive suspension, it was previously confirmed..
Believe it or not, the Adaptive M Suspension is actually lighter than the regular static dampers because it's made out of forged aluminum and the static dampers are made of steel.

It looks to me is comparing M3/4 damper to 3/4 series which is referred to as 'base model'.
M2 isn't the base model that has the same base damper. Because the KW-made M performance adjustable coilover, albeit made out of forge aluminum, isn't lighter than M2 stock damper.
Do not spread speculative info like it was confirmed by BMW.

Yes, that's from the M4 and the article below is referring to the adaptive suspension vs the "base model" meaning the standard static suspension of the M4, not the "3/4 series," which is made of same construction as the original "base" M2 suspension, hence the weight comparison.

Before you jump to conclusion, how about you provide some facts to back up your claim 'and do not spread speculative info.'
I'm going to take a wild guess and say you have the MP coilovers on your M2, since you decided mention it, so back it with some
objective facts before you accuse me of misstating mines..
