I've attached a PDF of the document I signed at my local dealer in the US that is part of the Euro Delivery paperwork. This included:
Purchase Order
Terms & Conditions
Power of Attorney (allows BMW AG to register temporary plates)
Release and Customer Notification Cold Weather Driving Conditions
Authorization to Release Accident Information to BMW NA
It was 5 or so pages in total.
It appears to me to just be a notification and release of liability for BMW NA and AG. So the email I received was just a bunch of hokum.
