OE = Original Equipment

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacture

For example,

ATE, BBS, Brembo,Textar, etc.are OEMs. Textar brake pads made to BMW specification without BMW labeling or packaging is OEM. If the same pad is made by Textar for BMW, have a BMW part number, packaging, etc. then they are OE parts not OEM.

Like to generic drugs they are very similar but not the same.
