I just got back from Germany yesterday for the ED of my M2C on May 9th. I got a vague email the day before my delivery date saying my car would not be available for delivery and I would be given a rental. At that point, I wasn't sure if I'd even see the car or if would just go to the Welt to pick up a rental car.

I showed up at my scheduled time and it was a lot of confusion. Many apologies were given for the car not being available and the first couple people I talked to couldn't even tell me if my car was there. I still had to fill out all the paperwork like I was taking the car. After waiting around for a couple hours I was introduced to one of their Customer Care specialists and she handled everything. I was informed my car was there so I'd get to do the normal delivery experience and I would have an M140i to use for the remainder of our trip.

FWIW, everyone at the Welt as great about the stop delivery. Countless apologies and they were clearly upset/embarrassed that they couldn't give me my car. For our trip we flew into Prague and out of Frankfurt and I was able to drop off the rental car at the same place I would have left my M2C (BLG Logistics). It didn't affect our trip at all.

About the rental M140i they gave me...it was great! Brand new car with 21km on the odo and it was a fun little car. There were a few times I was disappointed not to have my M2C but in all honesty this worked out better in our case. This was my first time driving in another country so I was happy for the smaller size and the convenience of the automatic transmission.
