On my 2017 MX-5 RF I run the 245/40/18 Rival 1.5's.
I've also run the Hankook RS-3's in the past and they are a solid durable option as well.
There are tires I ran on a FR-S and the MX-5.
On my 510WHP EVO I run BFG R1's. 285/30/18's. You would be surprised how many HPDE's I can squeeze out of a set. (Not for the street)
