Let's not forget that BMW has not even officially confirmed existence of the M2 CS. No word or teaser on social media. No explicit confirmation in interviews. Merely some vague hints. The only public clue so far: M2 CS test mules spotted during testing (Winter & Summer).
So BMW ain't
"drawing out" the release. It can take all the time it deems appropriate for the M2 CS sign-off, also with the future release of the G80 M3 in mind. It's rather all of us enthusiasts who are pretty anxious, with (educated) guessing about what's cooking inside the BMW M kitchen, piecing some info and assumptions together.
Once BMW officially presents the M2 CS we can verify whether the info mentioned in the first post of the dedicated M2 CS spy pics thread (see
here) was accurate or not.
