Indeed. The pro was very transparent about that. He noted that both manufacturers have had times where they’re the best tire available. He noted that the PSS was great, but at the price point the Continental would do everything the PSS did, likely last longer, and be cheaper.
I can tell when I’m being sold something. I did not get that impression in the slightest. The guy we were speaking with was the one who ran our new owners track day and drove our hot laps. I trust what he conveyed, regardless of sponsorship.
